Following rules apply for the chili cook-off in the LOCAL Division:

1)      Chili will be prepared from scratch and be available at the Cook-of site by 11:30 a.m. on October 9th..

2)      Chili will be prepared in as sanitary manner as ready to serve to the public at Noon on Saturday..

3)      Chili may be prepared off site, but we encourage you to cook on-site to participate in the festivities.

4)      Turn in time for judging is 12:00 NOON (sorry, no late entrees).

5)      To help us plan pre-registration is suggested. You will also save $10.00.

6)      Contestants need to set up on-site and share their chili ONLY with those who purchase tasting cups. 

7)      Winners will be determined by a blind tasting.

8)      Please supply a 1-gallon minimum to share.

 

Entry fee is $30.00.  Entries mailed and received by October 4th are $20.00.

 

Cash and prizes will be given to the top three chili's in the Local Division.

 

The cook-off will be at under the Sertoma Tent at Crystal River Mall.  Activities going on all day long include food and beverage booths, raffles, and live music, with the proceeds benefiting local charities.

 

Please enclose a $20.00 non-refundable registration fee.
